The Emerald Wildlife Map is a large scale original acrylic painting presenting a detailed wildlife map of Ireland. The canvas measures 120 × 150 cm and features textured mountain ranges created with modelling paste, adding physical depth to the landscape.
The map includes 65 native wildlife species of Ireland, selected based on their protection status, cultural heritage, prevalence in the landscape, and ecological importance. Species range from marine life such as common dolphins and humpback whales, to seabirds including puffins, as well as kingfishers and golden eagles. Terrestrial species such as red deer, Connemara ponies, pine martens, and hedgehogs are also represented.
Accompanying the painting is a printed species index describing each animal with its Latin name, habitat, protection status, ecological role, and where it is most commonly found in Ireland. An additional art print version of the map is included, with each species clearly identified by name.
Painted in 2025, the work represents the ecological diversity of Ireland and can function both as a standalone artwork and as an educational resource. It is suitable for display in visitor center's, educational settings, or public spaces, as well as private collections.
This painting may also be considered for rental to museums, offices, hotels, visitor center's, libraries, and educational spaces.
